Getting ready to send out some custom furled leaders. @bob.nelson.92754 and I had a class lined up at the NW Fly Tying/Fishing Expo. Ah well, next year... and in the meantime I’ll probably be creating more leaders than I can use in a lifetime #furling #furledleaders #flyfishing
Brushing up on baking skills. Experimenting with new sourdough ideas. The house smells great. What else can you do while sheltering at home? #baking #sourdough #bread #shelterathomecooking
Caddis on the mind (and in the vise). Tied up quite a few of these caddis parachutes for an all types of caddis flies swap. #flytying #flyfishing #caddisflies
Took a few days to get back to the wilderness and look for the McCloud River Redband trout. Found some Rainbows, and the one Redband I had to hand jumped back into the river before photo. So, if it’s not in the net it doesn’t count? And yup, that little guy is not a Redband. Gotta look for white tips on the fins and a few other things 😜 #flyfishing #heritagetrout #norcal #mccloudriver
Oooh, pretty close to heaven on earth. Staying here one night before finally jumping back on the PCT. About time! #pct2019 #burneyfalls #norcal
Helping a good friend prepare fly boxes for ladies of Casting for Recovery—buggers, para Adams, bead head pheasant tail nymphs, and can’t resist, Pink Pookies. These women are rock stars.
